Monaco Media Forum 2007 showcases Livestation

Matteo Berlucchi demonstrates Livestation, the global broadcast platform for the Internet, at Monaco Media Forum 2007.

At this prestigious, invitation only event hosted by HSH Prince Albert II, Matteo Berlucchi (CEO Skinkers) will showcase Livestation: the first global broadcast platform for the delivery of live interactive TV and radio over the Internet.

Matteo will also be a panelist on the session entitled “Video 2.0: The Revolution Will Be Televised" where he will discuss his prediction as to why the Internet will play a fundamental role in interactive broadcasting.

Livestation, built on unique peer-to-peer technology acquired from Microsoft Research, will allow broadcasters to distribute live audio and video to a potentially unlimited audience of broadband connected consumers at a much reduced cost. Currently in technical trial, Livestation is due to launch in 2008.

Matteo stated, “Live, interactive Internet broadcasting will shortly become a reality and the implications for the whole industry are enormous. Broadcasters will be able to develop a whole new linear experience for their audience and the opportunities for interactive services are very exciting.”
