Financial News Online increases website traffic by 29% with Skinkers desktop alerts

Since August 2006, Financial News Online has been using Skinkers technology to “push” breaking news alerts directly to the desktop of their audience.

Financial News Online today announced that they have upgraded their service to enhance user experience and extend the choice of delivery channels to their users.  This upgrade includes the successful use of Skinkers technology; a new communication channel that bypasses email delivering news to the desktop with visibility and impact. Since August 2006, Financial News Online has been using Skinkers technology to “push” breaking news alerts directly to the desktop of their audience. Website traffic has increased by 29% since the Skinker was launched.

Skinkers technology is a simple way to push and manage breaking news on the desktop, allowing Financial News Online to retain and enhance relationships through a compelling, user-friendly desktop application. Users are able to select what areas news they would like to be notified about. The alerts are delivered straight to the desktop in text, pictures, video and audio, over other applications; ensuring messages are seen at the time when they are most relevant.
